Cornwall has the largest area of coastline in England, including nine river estuaries and about 300 beaches. As a result, Cornwall is renowned for being a great holiday destination - but it is also infamous as a windy holiday destination. This is due to the weather fronts and weather systems that constantly push into Cornwall from the Atlantic. Although this doesn’t always make for the best beach days... it does make the Cornish peninsular pretty much perfect for kite sports!

As the wind can blow from all directions, and kite-sports generally require a steady cross or cross-onshore wind, it makes sense for us to use different beaches to get the best conditions on any given day, and the Cornish peninsula offers beaches facing North, South, East and West.

All of the locations that we make use of are no more than 35 minutes drive from our base at Perranporth. Kite buggying and landboarding are always run from Perranporth as the three mile beach provides plenty of space and flat firm sand for the wheels.
