In addition to our guided trails, which allow you to explore Cornwall's beautiful scenery whilst enjoying some great single track, Cornwall now has it's own purpose built mountain-bike trail at Cardinham woods (near Bodmin).
The 6.5 mile Bodmin Beast is a blue/red graded cycle trail with outstanding single track. Suitable for intermediate to advanced mountain bikers, this exhilirating trail explores the wooded slopes of Cardinham Forest. There are a number of technical climbs and descents, long-winding single track, challenging bermed corners, small drop offs, rollers and table tops; all of which can be rolled over at a moderate speed, but the trail is exposed to steep unfenced side slopes in places.
There are also two difficult red/black sections of trail, which divert off of the main Bodmin Beast. These sections will add up to 30 minutes (1.6 miles) to your ride, and are only suitable for advanced mountain bikers. 'Dialled-In Dave' is rocky, yet still flowing and fast, so an ideal introduction to Red grade single track. 'Hell's Teeth' presents a brutal initial climb, but for your efforts are rewarded by some narrow, techncial, flowing trail and then a very steep bermed final descent!
